Laure Gazier, from  Normandie France  May 10th to May 16th, 2008.  Laure only spent 6 days with me but she helped clear the two porches and raked the garden beautifully.  She had a taste of black flies and said "How can such a paradise-like place turn into a nightmare so fast?"  But apart from it she had a good week here.  On her first night here, we had Ian and Francine over for supper.   On Mother's Day Rami was here too and we were 5 for dinner with  Herb and Linda.  We had supper at Linda and Herb Hart's place. We went to a small Chinese Buffet with Ken.  We spent an evening with Jacques Parmentier.  One sunny day Laure joined Olivier on a 15 km aerobic corridor tour and then visited with Olivier and Mathilde for the afternoon.

On May 15th we went to Ottawa and met Emily Conger and Ayaka Kimoto at the National Art Gallery.  We also saw some of the Tulip Festival.  It was a gorgeous sunny day.

An Installation that Laure really appreciated, entitled the discourse of the elements by BGL.

Laure was a pleasure to have.  She helped and I was glad to have met her.  Hope she will succeed in her future endeavours and studies.

Merci beaucoup Laure!

Ayaka Kimoto  From Osaka Japan.  January 6th to April 18th, 2008.  In Three and a half months with me, Ayaka shovelled a lot of snow, taught me some nice Japanese expressions, Japanese dishes,  made lots of origami, met many of my friends, made some new friends.  She was a great Wwoofer.  Thanks a million Ayaka !  Hope that you will succeed in your future studies and trips throughout Japan.
