Rami, Tara & Ethan Negev, cousins Tecia and Michael Werbowski, Ken McDougall and I, for a BBQ dinner - marinated & grilled by Michael Werbowski, I only made a Sheppard’s pie, a salad, and cleaned the strawberries) my friend Christine Belmonte made my 70^th birthday a celebration complete with a real birthday cake and noise makers. We did it in my new enlarged back-porch-cum studio, in which some of the the family ate during my 65th birthday celebration. It is now almost 3-times its previous size.

Ethan, my charming grandson really appreciated the noise making, singing and cake, with one candle! Some friends dropped in the day before telling me an advanced happy-birthday wishes, gifts and cards.

Since my son Rami took the pictures, I have added two pictures I took of the young Negev Family July 15th in the café in Morin Heights. The flower photo was taken by Ethan! Rami has been training him to see things through the lenses. But there was time for story telling too, which Ethan also appreciates.

I was not at all in the mood to celebrate but my small family made sure it was a joyous occasion (because of a grand fall on June 30th….it is slowly getting a bit better now.)
