Mille Isles 150th
anniversary celebrations concluded with a Halloween party on Saturday,
October 29th at the Mille Isles community hall.
There were
over 90 children trick or treat and 23 people giving out candy.
They came all painted and dressed up. The prize for the best
and funniest pumpkin went to Sharon Dawson.
The event was organized by Caroline Timmons Kilpatrick
and her team. The hall was beautifully decorated. The tables displayed colourful Halloween
characters and funny carved pumpkins.
There were lots of candies for the
children who came in droves. The fire department brought their two
trucks and put up a bonfire too. Many parents were costumed the
atmosphere was very festive and friendly.
A big thank you to all that contributed to this
lovely event, which should probably become an annual event.
