Artists
are often asked to provide artwork for display in public
spaces without any insurance or remuneration. Here is a
unique chance to participate in a project that is beneficial
to both parties.
The
new owners of Domain de l’Étang, a lovely B&B in
Wentworth-Nord, invite artists to submit artwork to be
selected for display and sale. The theme should be one of
the following five elements: metal, water, wood, fire or
earth, or works that relate to the Domaine and its
environment. A professional jury will select the best work
to be purchased by Domaine de l'Étang (price not to exceed
$500). Artists are requested to provide one or two pieces
for display at the B&B for one year. At the end of the
first year, one artwork will be drawn for purchase by
Domaine de l’Étang (price not exceeding $1000.) Domaine de
l’Étang will provide insurance to cover damage, loss or
theft. Domaine de l’Étang will not take any percentage.
The total amount paid for the artwork will go to the artist.
Artists who wish to participate in this competition should
contact Domaine de l’Étang for further details.
